The U.S. spends $1.219 trillion each year on medical costs.
Of that total, 86 percent stems from chronic conditions, such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, arthritis, diabetes or obesity.
These conditions can be treated through lifestyle.
APEX can help.
Expanding the REACH of health care.
Qualified exercise professionals are integral to Exercise is Medicine.
APEX assists healthcare providers with expanding their reach of care through patient referrals for exercise guidance by qualified exercise professionals. Patients are classified into categories based on their risk.
APEX specifically works with clients who are categorized in Category A and Category B, defined as:
Category A (Apparently Healthy): Individuals with no identified constraints, symptoms, or risks, who can safely participate in regular physical activity and independent exercise guidelines.
Category B (Controlled Single Condition): Asymptomatic individuals with a single, well-controlled chronic disease or medical condition managed via physician-prescribed therapies (such as stable hypertension or mild controlled diabetes).
Note: Patients in Category C (High Risk/Complex) require clinical supervision.
